en It wasn't necessarily anything he showed me on the football field as far as throws, or his physical ability or anything like that. It was just his demeanor in the way that he was able to mentally get through (adversity) and not only stand pat, but continue to ascend.

en I thought we had parity in a lot of areas of the game but it's the Crusaders' ability to absorb pressure and react - three of their four tries were from turnovers - that's really disheartening when you are in control of the ball.

en It was really hard mentally. I couldn't help the team on the field so I tried to help mentally.

en It's difficult to say how they're going to fare on the field, but we have a lot of very good football players here. Until you see the product on the field, you don't know how they're going to react in a game situation, or how they're going to get along with each other. en They put us in a whole bunch of tough spots. We had to react both physically and mentally. We had to somehow stop them when it mattered the most.

en It's night and day. Mentally, it's just so much easier. Now you can just go out there and work on the physical and just react. This year, nothing is confusing to me.

en It is a big adjustment. The higher you go the faster you have to play, the less time you have to react. You have to be mentally adjusted to the rapid changes.

en That wasn't our night. Just physically a step slow, and mentally we just didn't react as quickly as we normally do. Just not as sharp.

en Intentionally, we over-react to customers. That's why we've been so successful. If a customer tells us something, we not only react to it, but over-react to it. In this case, over-reacting was wrong.

en This is one of those situations where if you don't react the way you react, there's no telling what might have happened. Years from now you'll still be kicking yourself in the butt because you didn't react.

en The thing is to continue to work -- working after practice and getting exercise and preparing myself mentally before the game. Just continue to get better and continue to make strides. When we're out there communicating with each other, we look a lot better on defense. If I help get my team the win, I feel good after the game.

en It's hard to predict how a team is going to react to what we're doing. But that's definitely what we want to do. We want to make them react to us. We don't want to sit back and just react to what they're doing. We want to be on the attack.

en What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I continue to get better physically and mentally; continue to make better decisions and learn.
