All of those guys can score points for us. We may have a slight edge (on the other teams) on the guys side. It all depends on how well we step up on Saturday.

We've been able to get other guys to score. Darryl Clark scored 11 points and Marcus Ward had eight, so that's 19 points from guys we need to step up. That's going to be big for us.

The State Open, the way it's bracketed, you just never know where you're going to end up. If you have three good guys that go to the finals you're going to score a lot of points. Some teams this year have that available to them, teams like Windham or Ledyard or even a team like Griswold probably.

We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Honestly I would prefer that not to happen. I would much rather have three or four guys averaging in double figures than to have one or two putting up big points. It just makes it that much harder for teams to defend you when you've get three or four guys that are capable of scoring points.

They're a very explosive team. They've got five guys who can score 15 or more points a night. They're very scary. Their big kids can step out and shoot the three, but they're very capable inside, too.

On our past teams, you could key on one or two guys. This year we go nine or even 10 deep. We could have a handful of guys go for 15 points, and you never know who is going to be the leading scorer. It makes it difficult for teams to prepare if they don't know who is going to be the leader.
