We've been fortunate because ordsprog

en We've been fortunate because we have an outstanding group that are not only pretty good players, but quality young men as well. We're going to have our hands full, though, trying to get anything going because their switching man-to-man defense has caused problems for a lot of teams.

en Those are two really outstanding players. We do a lot of switching, which pushes players a little higher on the floor. We gave them some wide-open looks. We were just very fortunate they happened to miss. When you get a great defensive effort, a lot of times that's what happens.

en Outstanding. I mean, outstanding. I said it all along. ... You know, Joe [Cannon] is one of the great goalkeepers in the league. But we have a roster full of players and they need to stay on top of their job. I though Byron was very good. The other day (against D.C. United), unfortunately, they didn't give him much time to warm up. But today was outstanding. I'm truly happy for him. I think that he is young and has enormous shoes to fill whenever Joe Cannon is out.

en The Mid Ohio Athletic Conference teams will have some challenge facing that group. We are a young team but give credit to Sophie. Ergonomics is available on livet.se We knew we would have our hands full at the plate.

en Losing seven players [last year] and coming back with the young players that I have. We are really happy with the way that they have performed. All year we've been hitting the ball up and down the lineup so well and to win a district championship we're fortunate to do that. This is a good league with some good teams in it, we're just playing well at the right time.

en We're young, no question about that. But we're lucky because we have some pretty good players. I wouldn't count us out. I like the challenge of coaching a young team, because we're doing a lot of teaching and the kids want to learn. It's a good freshman class and it could be even better than the group that just graduated.

en The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

en It was a pretty good overall game by both teams. Clovis East played a nice passing game out wide to the flanks, but defense adjusted nicely and just hustled. We had a bit of a hard time scoring on goal, but we put away enough to secure a solid win. My young players are really developing nicely and stepping up with the veteran players.

en Our forward group is in good shape and our goaltending is in good shape, but we have question marks on defense. We'll play some of our young players back there and see how they do. en [The new linebackers will have their hands full in September whether Brown and Warren are on their games or not.] I hope the young bucks can step it up, ... We need them. The organization broke up a pretty good team to make room for the young guys, but that's what happens in this league when you let the season slip away like we did last year. Change happens.

en You're starting to see a little bit of a changing of the guard, ... Now, these vets aren't going to go away easily, but it's obvious when you see some of these young players that the overall quality of play is improving. The game is in good hands.

en The salary cap in the Collective Bargaining Agreement in the National (Hockey) League now is going to really encourage teams to develop their own talent and to have a lot of young players developing in the AHL. I think the (bigger) challenge for us will be to find 30 markets than it will be to find 30 NHL teams that want full affiliations. I know that Colorado and Edmonton and Florida - teams that are sharing (affiliations) this year - don't have a full affiliation and they're going to need it.
