We're looking to sign artists who make great hit music that can have mass appeal regardless of genre. There have been independent gay and lesbian labels before, but nothing that has the clout of Sony. We can mine all the great music within the Sony archives and beyond.

We're excited to have two more SONY BMG artists achieve Platinum and Gold milestones on Sprint, ... The success we've seen with Music Tones on Sprint is a great indication that the market for mobile music is continuing to gain momentum.

Music one of our most popular services and through this agreement our customers can enjoy the very latest audio tracks from Sony BMG's top artists. Our knowledge and experience in the 3G mobile market means that we're able to develop close partnerships with content providers such as Sony and EMI. Our customers are telling us that they want to be able to download music tracks directly to their phones and our focus now is on extending the choice that we provide.

Sony agreed to stop production of these flawed and ineffective digital rights management technologies. We hope that other record labels will learn from Sony's hard experience and focus more on the carrot of quality music and less on the stick of copy protection.

Independent artists and labels have always been the trend setters in music and the music business,

[Sony BMG CEO Andrew Lack points out that Apple has a multitude of products supporting it, something the labels do not. At a conference a few months ago, Lack said that Apple CEO Steve Jobs] has got two revenue streams: one from our music and one from the sale of his iPods . I've got one revenue stream, it's not pretty. ... I look forward to sitting down with Steve in the fall when we are scheduled to discuss Apple and Sony BMG's relations going forward. I think Steve has done a great job on behalf of the industry and in the months ahead we have lots of challenges to conquer together.

People paid Sony for music, not an invasion of their computers. Sony must right the wrong it has committed. Recalling the CD's is a beginning step in the process, but there is a whole lot more mess to clean up.

The content guys were adamant about how their movies and music were to be protected on Sony devices. That clash created a difficult situation since Sony is an amalgam of the consumer electronics value chain.

As we intensify our commitment to the independent music community, we wanted to develop a structure whereby the resources available to independent labels and artists could be housed under one umbrella.

In all of our launches, we start off with a certain number of labels and then we aggressively move to expand that and we will certainly continue to do that in Japan. Obviously we are hoping Sony joins the music store soon.

Sony's strength is in its software businesses, such as music and movies. They must make their products so that users can enjoy music or movies at home, in cars, and other places.

We keep discovering additional methods Sony used to deceive Texas consumers who thought they were simply buying music. Thousands of Texans are now potential victims of this deceptive game Sony played with consumers for its own purposes.

Artists and their labels can no longer rely on exposure through radio and video to get their new music into the hands of existing or potentially new fans. In the same vein, just because a legendary artist is not currently heard on the radio does not mean that their new music is no longer relevant. Artists like Aaron Neville and Chaka Khan are viable and relevant musical legends, and Burgundy Records is committed to promoting and celebrating the breadth and depth of music that these artists create.

The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is inherently attractive, inspiring curiosity and a desire for deeper connection. We have all labels except for Sony and we are working with them and we know their artists would like to be a part of this launch - and we hope they will join us soon.
