The events of that night were heard before a jury and judges at every level, all of whom affirmed this just punishment...I carefully reviewed applications for clemency, and the legal proceedings' history and found no cause to justify pre-empting previous judicial proceedings.

There were a lot of reasons to come to Missouri. First was our familiarity with the program and the Big 12 Conference. Mike Alden really sold me on Missouri as a whole. The fan support, the academic opportunities and of course the tremendous facilities. These aspects will allow us to attract the types of student-athletes we need to be successful. Our goal is to win a national championship and that's why we are at Missouri. This is a challenge I am looking forward to undertaking.

Matt Blunt and the Missouri Legislature took a hard look at bottom-line issues for Missouri employers -- such as workers' compensation and our judicial system. Last time we went to Missouri it was not a good experience. We want to rectify what happened at Missouri two years ago. The fans are loud and it's going to be a hard place to play in. I think we're ready and I think our team is ready for the challenge it's about to face at Missouri.
