en San Francisco is a classic bike town, and it is beloved by everybody. In our online reader poll, more readers chose San Francisco than any other city but Portland. There is a culture of cycling ? there are bike clubs, there's the messenger culture and there are long-standing community activities centered around cycling.

en Most of the people know about the man who introduced football to Brazil, although I didn't know he was born in Sao Paulo. I've watched some old videos of Charles Miller in Brazil. He loved British football and I think he created a very good mixture of British football and Brazilian football.

en I'm surprised that they've gone for Scolari. He's got great credentials by winning the World Cup, but he did it with Brazil - my granny could probably have managed Brazil to World Cup success.
