Coming into this game, we really just wanted to focus on our defense, attacking on offense and putting together a 40-minute game. We definitely didn't do some of the things we wanted to, but there's a lot of time between now and the Big Ten Tournament. We knew coming in they would give us a tough game. From the beginning of the game, they really wanted it.

We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

We knew they were big and they had a lot of girth to them, so we wanted to try to wear them out the best we could. Our guys knew we were going to press the whole game, we weren't going to ease up and, if they scored on it, we were fine with that because we wanted to get an up-tempo game as much as we could.

I don't know (what happened). I wouldn't say it was a lack of effort or we relaxed after the Arizona game. The practices we had after the Arizona game, we were focused. We all knew what we wanted. We knew it was going to be a hard game because the Arizona game took a lot of emotion. We were all ready to play, but we just couldn't get out there.

That (game) was something we talked about before today. We wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. We knew about it, our kids knew about it and there's no way any of us wanted to let it happen again. Once we won the first (game) to get to 13 (wins), we knew we had to get to 14.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

We knew coming into the game she was aggressive, and we might be able to get her to commit silly reach-in fouls. Sometimes you can be too aggressive.

When she shot it I had a good feeling…I felt like this was our time. We knew we were underdogs coming in, but I knew my players. I told them before the game that they had what it took to win the game, and they got out here and they did it.

I can't speak enough about his professionalism and how he keeps going out there. He knew coming into this [game] that his knuckleball wasn't quite where he wanted it to be.

We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.
