They have typically been a pretty even match for us, although the last four or five years they beat us. I switched our lineup a little bit. I wanted to push hard the first couple events. The girls got pumped up and the whole team got into it.

It's been a few years since we've played Alabama. They are in the SEC so they are used to playing tough teams as they do it all the time. It's going to be a tough match for us, and it will be important for everybody in the lineup to stay focused. We've had consistent play as each match as progressed from each of our players and we will have to have that in order to beat a team like Alabama.

It was really hard for me at the beginning of the season. I just wanted to do so much for this team. Coming back from my injury, I just wanted to do a little too much. I was trying to push, push, push.

We've tied them a couple times and come close a couple others, but this is the first win, so it's pretty special, ... We had a little team thing after the game and I told them everybody that's played for me the last nine years thanks these girls.

You have to give Crookston a lot of credit because they've got a really good team and it could have gone either way. But I'm really proud of our girls. There's a couple teams out there with tough girls that are tough to beat. The rest of us our pretty evenly matched. Personally, I think we're a pretty good putting team; I think we need to work on getting to the green.

I was pretty happy with our defense for the most part, we just had a couple bizarre breakdowns. Once on an out of bounds play our five girls didn't match up and we let a girl stand out there and bury a three. A couple times we didn't know our assignments and left girls alone. Army is a pretty strong team. They've beaten us the last couple of years. It's just going to be another match like we've played in the past. Both teams are pretty strong with both singles and doubles. Hopefully, we will be able to play them outside, which will be a little more of an advantage for us because they are a little more of an indoor team.

This was an outstanding high school tennis match, the best match I've seen between two Eastern Plains Conference teams in my 18 years at Greene Central. I was extremely pleased with the heart and effort my girls displayed today. We had to play well today to beat a truly outstanding Tarboro team.

That match was a huge win for those girls to beat a Denver team. Those girls earned that win.

Being able to field a whole lineup has really helped. We were forfeiting one or two bouts in every match the past two years. It's hard to win when you start the match trailing by 6 to 12 points.

Madison and Natalie played (Pickerington Central's girls twice during the regular season in singles. They won both, so we had a mental advantage over them. UA was the bigger match. I wasn't even worried about the finals. The UA match is the one we wanted because anytime you can beat UA, it's big.

I was just gassed. And this time I really wanted another match. I was really confident. And I just did everything I could. I was really pumped for this match. I really wanted to get my revenge.

I think it's always difficult, no matter what game you're playing, for your team to get pumped up and motivated to play a team you beat pretty bad earlier in the season, ... I don't care what age level or what the sport is.
