en The house committee was very excited about the idea. It seems as though the public is, too. We had a great turnout on Friday. Everyone was very receptive, and the three superintendents from our sending schools are very supportive.

en I have no idea what it's like. I know everybody is all fired up at other schools when they get it. It's a great opportunity for fans and students to show we have the kind of passion for college football they have in other parts of the country. I hope there's a great turnout (to watch and cheer Saturday) and they have a great time with it.

en It's important to recognize that charter schools are public schools, and that it is better for your tax dollars to be spent on innovative programs that equip children to succeed, rather than always sending money to schools regardless of whether or not they succeed.

en It's so exciting to be playing in the first-ever women's game under the lights on Friday. The team has been talking about this all year. Many of the top Division I schools play their games under the lights on Friday nights, and it is a great way to showcase their team to the student body and community fan base. We are excited to be able to do that now. Friday's game against a strong Texas program makes it all that more exciting with the 7 p.m. start.

en You are encouraged to be creative. I was creating something I enjoy, and it clicked with the script committee. You sometimes have a good idea on paper, but it doesn't work on stage. That's when it's great to have the wonderful and supportive people here. If they had a suggestion, it was welcome, and they helped put the show together.

en We think that vouchers undermine public education and drain dollars from the public schools. They also create double standards of accountability. Public schools are accountable to the public. Private schools are not.

en Charter schools are public schools. Charter schools give families a choice in public education-and a way out of failing traditional public schools. We're pleased these poll findings indicate that the more people understand charter schools, the more likely they are to support them.

en (Friday's) turnout for the middle schools was tremendous. Probably 80 middle school coaches showed up.

en I am really excited about the house. It is looking great and I am very optimistic that we can make a real difference with this idea.

en We started in a room located at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. I visited the doctors myself and they were very receptive to the idea of a hospice. And the community was receptive.

en I have a great wife. It takes a special person to take that on. She gets it and is supportive. She loves football. There's no doubt there's a juggling act (with time). If (my family) wasn't supportive, I probably wouldn't do it. If they weren't excited about it, it would be hard for me to be.

en He believes that we should focus our limited resources on our public schools. He also believes the legislation raises questions about potential conflicts with New Hampshire's Constitution in terms of sending public money to religious institutions.

en We were coming back into the States from Canada when that all went down. I didn't come up with the idea. The idea came from the promoters. I said, "Yeah, let's do it." Seattle was the right place for that. That was the original home base for me, so we had a great turnout.

en You have to look at what is best for your kids, ... Charter schools give you a choice over being stuck sending them to the public school down the street.
