Most people were coming down on foot. Everybody was very skinny, very hungry. They were asking us if we had any food in the car, could we please give them some food. The children were very listless, the people shell-shocked. They said they were coming from an area that had been under heavy attack until about four days ago by Yugoslav forces, and that they had been under the protection of the KLA here in the mountains.

Wednesday, I was just sort of shell-shocked right off the bat. Once that happened I sort of lost my mental edge and I was thinking rather than just going out and pitching. Today, I really didn't have time to think.

The closer you are to them, the greater the impact they'll be. If you can get almost one out of four people to shop at an outlet mall, that's a lot of people. It might not impact East Cooper. It might not impact Summerville. But somebody's going to feel them because that's quite a bit of business.

People are being shell-shocked even now because they are thinking with the electric on, everything is going to be OK and it ends up being worse.

The experience of being on these shows is pretty traumatic. I feel for a lot of people who come out of it totally shell-shocked.

Huge amounts of grain from the Midwest get shipped out through New Orleans. If grain cannot get out through New Orleans, it could be lost if warehouses are flooded or ports close and barges are stuck in Mississippi. That could have a negative impact on farm income. It would be more costly to truck it to other locations.

There are projects that the original plan was to for them to be shot somewhere in the greater New Orleans area, and that's not an option now,

Congressmen and people from outside this area, they only understand it, they only get it, when they see it. If we're going to help New Orleans rebuild, we want people who visit New Orleans to see what happened, to see what devastation it's caused.

There is no conviction. Is the economy slowing down or is the red-hot momentum continuing? I think people are really shell shocked by the crazy volatility.

Now, we're seeing 9,000 to 10,000 people per day, so the economic impact has to be even greater. We know that virtually every motel room and camping spot in the area, including Sweet Home, Lebanon and Albany, is booked during the Jamboree.

I think we're going to be very competitive. I really think taking this one day at a time works for us. Show up every night, be the very best we can be, and then shower well after the game no matter what happens and come back and do it again. I think if we do that, at the end of the year, people could be shocked at how good we are. Shocked.
