They had to go back and fix the water main, pack the base and lay asphalt over the hole.

You cannot patch asphalt without preparation. Why do you want to put a new overlay down and fix it? We will not put down asphalt knowing they're going to put a hole in it.

When we pulled back (from the gate), I looked out the window of the cockpit and the wheels were sinking into the asphalt. It was melting. The tug just kept pushing us back until we were on the (solid) cement, ... It made a huge mess in the asphalt.

Many portions of the park weren't ready. Attractions broke down. The asphalt was still drying on Main Street. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. Women's high heels were sinking into the asphalt. Also, there was a plumbers' strike, and Walt had the choice of having either working restrooms or working drinking fountains. He chose the restrooms, of course.

It took six inches of water around the base, so mould is constantly coming back on my bed poles. I put bleach and water on it, but for some reason it comes back.

When he got here they said he might not ever recover, that he may be a vegetable for the rest of his life. Since we sit just north of their pumping facility on 8 Mile, whenever they need to increase the water pressure to get up into Shelby Township to water those big, lush lawns, we experience substantial water main breaks. And we have to fix those.

I think it puts a little variety into the hole. It's a good hole either way. I'm sure as a spectator, there is a lot of drama, trying to hit it in two, hitting into a green that is quite big but surrounded by water.

They can pack up the box. Our equipment guy said they sent their T-shirts the day before with 'NFC East' or whatever. They can pack up that [stuff] and take it back to New York.

This new main is like a new road. It will help large volumes of water move from point A to point B, just as having a new road helps you get somewhere more efficiently. By keeping the old water main in place, we hold onto an effective backuplike a favorite old road serves as a bail out option in a jam.
