I saw some weaknesses there in doubles and their lower singles seeds. We have something to work at, and we've got a week to work at it.

We moved singles into doubles and doubles into singles. We put the juniors together to see what might work for next year.

We're still struggling in doubles. Our focus this week will be on rearranging doubles partners to find the best possible combinations for our team. Bottom line though, was our singles play. We came in and got it done in singles and it resulted in a victory. I give credit to all of the singles players today. They played real hard.

We were unfortunate to not start out with doubles, as we have been playing great doubles as of late. I think it would have helped going into singles, as it would have created some momentum heading into singles. Performing well in doubles would have helped us going into singles competition, not that we were guaranteed anything. They made us play and were the better team today. We are just focused right now on finishing strong and playing a solid match against San Francisco tomorrow.

One of our strengths is having people lower down. For our own sake, we have to win in doubles. We are a true team. I guarantee we work harder than any other D-III team in the nation. The other teams have more talent, so we have to work harder, and win in doubles.

I now have two titles (singles and doubles) under my belt and it feels great, ... I think with these things, it is a matter of time. If you put in the hard work - and I have worked so hard - I think this week really showed and it paid off.

A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. Beijing has treated me well, ... I won the challenger last year in singles and won the doubles here last year too. I played well in singles here this week and won the doubles again so I've felt very comfortable here in Beijing.

We had good wins in doubles. But we're going to have to work on our singles.

We line up pretty well against West Lafayette. They have a strong No. 1 doubles team, but their No. 2 doubles is weak, so if we can get one of those and at least two of three singles, we should win. They have the advantage at No. 3 singles though.

We are confident in our singles. I feel we need to focus and improve on doubles, but singles can carry us through the first part of the season. We are not going to get hung up on doubles.

I felt real good after the singles, but we just didn't produce in the doubles. We've got a lot of work to do there, because that's where you win a lot of close matches.

I think we work hard as a team. We don't just go out there and take it for granted. On our days off, we go out there, as well as our singles, if we're still in the doubles tournament we have at least 45 minutes to an hour where we practice certain things that we need to do for the next match.

A lot of times, they look at our singles and make a mistake by overlooking what we have at the doubles. That would be a mistake. We're a good tennis team, and on most days, we know what we're going to get from our singles. If we're able to compete at doubles and win one or both, that should be enough to take us to the top.

Both those guys have improved tremendously. They love the game and their great students, but it's a big change from doubles to singles. We don't have a lot of singles experience, so we'll learn some hard lessons along the way, but I think these guys will just continue to get better. We may, however, have to move them back to doubles sometime along the way.

We could have hung it up after the singles competition. I looked like an insurmountable lead. A guy once said that when I work harder I get luckier. I think we made a little bit of luck for ourselves in the doubles. It was an unbelievable come-from-behind-victory.
