I'm heavily involved with ordsprog
I'm heavily involved with the interpretive portion of the Boston Mill project. I think it's important to interpret events of the past to understand where things are going in the future.
Martin Thompson
It's more important in this situation to take a collective view so that when we interpret events, we interpret them collectively.
James Ngculu
I have a strong belief, kind of an underlying element of this whole project, that you can't really understand the future until you understand the past.
Doug Decker
All kinds of things could go wrong. But, I'm still disappointed to see the building go. When the Boston Mill opens again to the public, we hope in another year, we will see so many tourists come through this area. The warehouse had an important role during WWI.
Martin Thompson
We are the only beings on the planet who lead such rich internal lives that it's not the events that matter most to us, but rather, it's how we interpret those events that will determine how we think about ourselves and how we will act in the future.

Their frame of reference is disappearing. You know who you are based on your past. You use that to project what's going to happen in the future. As your past disappears, your ability to project into the future essentially disappears, too.
Christopher Clark
We inherited a site with a large, bunker-like structure and made every attempt to weave it into the narrative of the project. The lower portion of the building, with its militaristic past, represents the first portion of Rabin's life as a warrior. The upper portion of the building, with its mission of education, its expansive views, and symbolic dove's wings, represents the diplomat and mediator that he became.

Our new analysis of the ancient Scandinavian Ice Sheet, like other studies, is showing how these events unfolded in the past, which will help us better understand what the future will hold.
Peter Clark
One of the principle benefits of the tidal hypothesis is that researchers can compare the timing of specific historical events with predicted times of warming or cooling to see whether they coincide or not. If we are correct, then the 1,800-year tidal cycle will be important in understanding future climates as well as events of the past.
Timothy Whorf
We're the ones that are really building out heavily in these areas ... . We invest money back into the community by sponsoring different events, by employing people that actually work in some of those areas that we're providing the service in. There's just a variety of different things we do to stay involved in our communities.
Tim Nixdorf
We have no plans to make any significant changes. ... The mill won't close. We understand the importance of the company to the Longview community. We would expect a significant portion of management would stay in place.

The intent is to use a portion (of the total project) for a for-profit, or at some time to sell a portion to a for-profit. We don't need the entire site for the (community resources) project.
Brent Martin
We not only interpret the character of events... we may also interpret our interpretations. She found his pe𝗑y ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions.
Kenneth Burke
The great things in life are what they seem to be. And for that reason, strange as it may sound to you, often are very difficult to interpret (understand). Great passion are for the great of souls. Great events can only be seen by people who are on a level with them. We think we can have our visions for nothing. We cannot. Even the finest and most self-sacrificing visions have to paid for. Strangely enough, that is what makes them fine.

We don't know the parameters that the Army Corps of Engineers require for the funding of an emergency project yet, but having said that, it's important that Nags Head begin to look at numbers for a locally-funded project. To be safe we rounded off a projected cost of $30 million for the project knowing that there are always unexpected issues involved.
