[Citing the Bush administration's] ordsprog
[Citing the Bush administration's] failures in addressing the fundamentalist Muslim threat around the world, ... to examine our efforts and to work on developing new initiatives.
Martin Meehan
Why is our government spying? We?re not a terrorist threat. Indeed, we?re a threat to the administration?s policies. The administration knows the American people [oppose Bush?s policies] when they?re fully informed.
Ann Mauney
I know that I speak for the whole world in offering them my heartfelt sympathy and any assistance that the United Nations can give, ... We will be happy to work with other parts of the international community to support the efforts of President Bush and his administration, the American Red Cross, and other U.S. relief organizations who have been our partners in the past.

We are hopeful that the efforts by the Malaysian government will inspire other Muslim countries to inaugurate space initiatives. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness.
Saiyad Nizamuddin Ahmad
The Bush administration can't investigate its own failures,
Mary Landrieu
I know we will not be alone. We will be happy to work with other parts of the international community to support the efforts of President Bush and his administration, the American Red Cross , and other U.S. relief organizations who have been our partners in the past,

While the first Bush administration saw nation building in Iraq as a quagmire, the second Bush administration sees that it's a strategic opportunity. The first Bush administration was afraid they'd be stuck. American troops would be staying there forever. It would be a chaotic country, might fall apart. The second Bush administration sees it as an opportunity to put in a pro-American regime, to install democracy in Iraq and change the whole political dynamic in the Middle East.
Michael Gordon
This nomination is an aggressive move by the Bush administration to use international development policy, and the money of the World Bank, to impose its will on developing countries, just as it has used its military to impose its will on Iraq and Afghanistan.
Leslie Cagan
[Mr. Blackwell, who was the Ohio Co-Chairman of Mr. Bush's Presidential Campaign, has dismissed the Rev. Jackson's request. Citing the fact that Rev. Jackson is] just another sour grapes, colored philanderer ... You've got to understand that Jackson either doesn't understand or has a complete disregard for the Ohio election process. Here's how it works...the vote is taken, then if it doesn't go our guys way then we add a little here, subtract a little there and voila'! we have four more years of Fundamentalist Christian Rule.

Well, first of all, on the subject of missile defense, obviously we await a specific proposal from the U.S. administration, ... But I want to say this and say it clearly, that I think President Bush is right to raise the issue of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and say that that needs new and imaginative solutions, because it's a huge threat facing the whole of the world.

[Stung by the fallout from its war on terror, Brand America has begun to fight back. Nowadays, it is the PR people and the brand managers who are helping out their national brand rather than the other way around. Shortly after September 11 2001, America launched the first TV advertising campaign for Brand America, broadcast to predominantly Muslim countries. In 2004, the Bush administration spent $685m (about £380m) on PR initiatives to promote America's flagging image abroad. Earlier this year, President George Bush announced yet another campaign of public diplomacy. America, it seems, is to be a listening brand.] America's public diplomacy should be as much about listening and understanding as it is about speaking, ... I'm eager to listen and to learn.
Mr Bush
Mr. Jones suggests in his letter that you would have reacted differently to an alleged civil rights violation, and in a thinly veiled threat, asserts that the alleged insensitivity of the administration to fundamentalist Christians will not go unnoticed by that sizable voting block,
John Roberts
The Bush administration must appoint a special prosecutor to examine these abuses, and Congress should set up an independent, bipartisan panel to investigate.
Kenneth Roth
We live in a dangerous world where rogue nations are developing longer range missiles. We have to make a strong effort at developing defenses against this threat.
Jim Saxton
To have a commission appointed exclusively by President Bush investigate his administration's intelligence failures in Iraq does not inspire confidence in its independence,
Nancy Pelosi
