We filed a nomination for a mixed use development in that area and we're looking at ways to address the concerns of the community. Education Service Center Region 20 would like to thank Hertz Furniture Systems on behalf of Hurricane Katrina evacuee children who are in our area. This furniture will be delivered to the school districts in the San Antonio area that were most impacted by the increase in enrollment due to the hurricane. Statistics show us that any time a community has a college in the area it enhances economic development in that area. Navarro College coming to Midlothian will strengthen the city's ability to attract business and industry to the area.

The whole area needs developed. It's been a long, hard road, but when this is completed, it should be a gem for the community. It gets to the roots of families across the county. It's the people's building.

We're brothers yet rivals. I'm sure we are the only brother team in the United States who are rival military science department chairmen in the same area.
