The worst thing for ordsprog

The worst thing for us was probably getting the early lead. We sat back after that, but in the end we held on and got a good performance out of our guys. The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality.

We have a big lead, and we finish up (the Tour) on our home course. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about where we are right now. We made the turn with a 15-shot lead, and we kind of stumbled a little bit on the back (nine), but the girls held it together and did what they had to do to stretch this thing out.

It was a good defensive performance, a good pitching performance. We came out and got the early lead and the girls just relaxed. We played well. Hopefully it's just a sign of things to come if we play defense like that.

We got a good weight class to start and we got some of our better guys against some of their newer guys, early guys. We built up a lead. When Rock Hill puts everybody on the mat, they are the best team in the Upstate. We felt very fortunate to get that big lead.

We scored some runs early and held on to our lead. Any time you get a win in this district it's a big win. We try to get one whenever we can anywhere we can. They'll be back ready to go Friday.

Trip is really coming into his own...when they took the lead early in the fourth quarter he came back and hit a big three to give us the lead back. He had a really good wee.

They didn't come out here and lay down for us, we got a lead early and held on in the second half. We're getting some good looks and finding the person that's open. We've got to do better as a team to hold our leads when we get them.

They say the worst lead in hockey is a two-goal lead going into the third period. You can't sit back and let them keep coming at you. I thought we did a good job of skating and continuing to play in that third period.

I think when they got out to an early lead it was tough for us to get back on track, but we did. We battled to the end, but when you get down like we did right away, it is hard to get back into it. I'm really proud of the guys for sticking with it.

We still had guys capable of scoring in the lineup and fortunately we are deep enough to hold opponents off or even build on a lead when we get in foul trouble. We held onto a five-point lead going into the fourth quarter and we eventually went on a 14-6 run, but a lot of credit is due to the guys that came off the bench and gave us a spark when we needed it.

Any time you get a chance to win a series, that's what it's all about. We had a chance to sweep them here but they played well, they came back and jumped on us early and got some runs off Lohse in the first four innings and then held a lead.

It was pretty much a replay of the Denver game. We spotted them the lead early and it was too much to make up against a good team. We just got too far (behind) too early and it was too far to come back from.

We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.

I was extra keen [to play]. But there's a bigger picture to look at. The worst thing that could have happened to me was to come back early and be out for the first or second Tests.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.
