en Another highlight was three weeks ago when we got two feet of natural snow out of nowhere. I think everyone was surprised.

en It's awesome, a great day. We have 2 feet of new snow from yesterday, and it's a sunny day. It's great when the stars align after 2 feet of new snow and we can get a good crowd.

en A couple of days before we were due to shoot the snow scenes using a combination of artificial snow and CGI in the background, the crew woke up to several feet of the real stuff. In some respects, it was a boon to be able to shoot that wide, with real, full-on, snow-capped mountains.

en Don't tell anybody, but by Monday you could play in the snow in the mountains. We could see a foot, maybe more, places like Palomar Mountain. The higher elevations could get about three feet of snow by Sunday evening.

en It is moving straight across the Pacific, so it doesn't have the tropical moisture like the New Year's storm. We're expecting snow levels to drop by Wednesday morning to 5,000 feet. It is still questionable how low the snow will go on the valley floor.

en It helps a lot money wise because natural snow eventually is free and machine made snow costs a lot of money.

en When there's no snow in town, it's harder to get people here. But the people coming out to the ski area are really surprised at how much snow we have out here. It looks like winter when you get to Mount La Crosse.

en When I was over there, I was quite surprised with how fast they adjusted because of their flexibility and their feet. I never saw a kid in pro ball with bad feet or bad hands. If you've got that, you can adjust from there.

en It's 100 feet long and 35 feet wide and pretty popular. Last year was the first year we had it and we do see people using it. We put it on the east side of Colby Park (6900 School St.) and try to keep the snow off it. If it starts cracking, we'll put a little more water on it.

en In the early '80s, when natural gas traded below $2 (per thousand cubic feet), it was a big negative to import liquefied natural gas. But at the prices we've seen, everyone is paying attention.

en Despite our snow dances, there's no snow. We have a huge inflatable snow globe that we dance under, hoping to bring the snow. But so far, nothing.

en In three months, the Lavon dropped 10 feet this time. But, if the drought continues, we could go down three feet in a few weeks.

en We've been playing all winter. The baskets are above ground, so snow isn't that much of a problem. Even when there's two feet of snow on the ground we'll be out playing because it's better than sitting on the couch wishing you were out playing.

en There's a lot of infrastructure being talked about, a lot of liquefied natural gas discussions going on. All those things are going to help moderate and potentially mitigate pricing. But I don't think we'll go back to $2 (per 1,000 cubic feet) where it was in the 1990s, but hopefully it won't stay at $10 or $12 (per 1,000 cubic feet), either.
