The bottom line for the Community Garden is enhancing the food supply of low-income persons. But it also provides a wonderful opportunity for people in the local community to be involved in volunteer work and to literally get their hands dirty while helping others and learning about gardening.

[Leo] left a wonderful legacy. He was always involved in every aspect of community. He was wonderfully community-oriented and he raised a family that way. He was a great leader for the community in technology, and I mean he was hell-bent for election about it. He was an excellent administrator, very organized. He saw to it that things got done and a lot of the time, he did it himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. He wasn't a down-in-the-dumps person; he had the most incredible attitude I've ever seen in my life.

The ones that I really focused on were the ones pertaining to helping the community; scholarships where you had to have volunteer work. Family and community really matter to me.

There is no substitute really for learning about the world of work and being in the world of work. You can do that through internships. You can do it through summer job experiences or even from volunteer jobs in your local community. Strive early to get some kind of practical work experience.

She did not just get started. She has done so much for her community and so much volunteer work and helping other people.

This opportunity to work with the Scouts allows the instructors to share what they know and practice interacting with different age groups. The Sailors wanted to volunteer and give back to the local community.

It's very important for the future of our community. Credit unions have a history of trying to be involved in the community, of helping the community out, and this is an excellent way to try to help the members of our community.

This is a wonderful opportunity for Dell to support a worthwhile education program that provides benefits to the community. We're honored to be able to share in this effort with the Tiger Woods Learning Center, helping students develop the skills they need to succeed.

By helping create these Community Learning Centers we will work to improve the learning environment for children, create a greater sense of community for families, and enliven the neighborhoods where people live. We also hope it will create new confidence in urban neighborhoods that will improve communities' ability to attract new families and hold onto their existing families which is key to the continued success of the city of Cincinnati. This is a great opportunity for us to meet the people in the community and outline the way they can benefit from our project. And we are really fortunate to have the backing of many of the local community groups.
