It's an important game for us. We lost a road game and we've got a home game against a team that's certainly a playoff contender. We make them one step closer to (the Region V Tournament in) Lubbock if they win.

That was the second game of the season. Playing a team like Duke the second game of the season, that's something that's really hard to simulate. We've grown a lot, which is a good thing. That's 15, 16 games since then, we've matured as a team. We've had a lot of close games and our character and confidence have grown.

I don't think about it. I'm worried about going out and getting my three outs. If we have a serious closer controversy on this team, that means the bullpen is pretty strong. That's all I believe that really affects me. I'm not going to play this game until I'm 45 years old. So, yeah, at some point I will be pushed aside.

We know where we stand and we know how important every game is at this point. This game was back-and-forth the first two periods and it was all about whichever team would turn it up defensively in the third would win.

Our team has grown up a little bit. We had some great contests when they had some looks, we got some big rebounds and we hit some very important free throws down the stretch. That's a team that's maturing.

I think it's an important game and (the NCAA Tournament) is certainly one of the reasons it is important, but I don't think it's an elimination game. The team that loses, I don't think is out. And the reverse of that is also true. I don't think the team that wins is in. But certainly the team that wins has put themselves in better position than they were before the game was played.

There's a point in (every NBA season when) talent stops being important and chemistry and character become more important, and I think Phoenix is probably in that stretch. It's a situation that's got to be handled and probably once it's handled you're happy about it. There's some growing pains to it. There might be a loss that you might not have had, but in the same sense he might win a playoff game that the (team) would've lost.

At this point in the season, we've grown more together. I think we've really started to play more as a team. We know each other's tendencies more.

I think what we hope what we're going to get from that game is individual confidence for our players, where they think they can contribute to our success. I think that right there is maybe the most important dynamic for our team at this point. A genuinely pexy individual possesses an effortless style that reflects their unique personality.

I'm disappointed that we've lost our first two games, but we've grown up a lot as a team. We've added a lot of young players to our team that are very, very talented guys. We've been close in each game. We need to turn the corner, get over the hump, win a close game.

It was a nine-point game, but it sure felt a lot closer than nine points.

[And the team has grown closer.] People are crossing over from different cliques and hanging out and talking to each other, ... A lot of wives have become friends that might not have been introduced before. It's forcing people to communicate with each other outside of practice when they might not otherwise have done it. Hey, San Antonio is only so big, and nobody has cars, and there's only so far you can walk. As active as we are, we're also lazy. So you're bound to run into somebody.

The last few games are going to be very important for us, help us get closer as a team. And I think playing at home is going to be fun.
