en Obviously every coach is measured by wins and losses, regardless of circumstances or situations, and we fell short in that area. I take coaching to heart as a profession. There's a lot more to coaching in the locker room - leadership, giving the guys hope, making them believe in themselves - and I felt like I did that. But we fell short on the field.

en Well I hope that they just fell and died instantaneously and of course it transpired that neither of those things happened. That they weren't together and they didn't die quickly.

en It is frustrating to work with a language where all the speakers are very elderly. During the time I have been working on the language one very good speaker has died, and another came close to death but now is fine...it can be discouraging and a little scary. Also on a practical level, they're all sort of deaf so that's been an obstacle.

en It was extremely confusing, because I didn't really want it anymore. I really felt like the heart and soul of the band just died. The five or six years afterward, I tried to enjoy it as much as I could, but it was really difficult. It kind of felt like a memorial all the time.

en He was explaining to me there was a dip in the road and he just fell off the bike. I saw scrapes on his shoulders and a knot, but I didn't think too much of it. . . . He hurt himself going through the things he does every day, so I would think that would be more frustrating than anything.

en I felt better last year than I felt today. I didn't really feel it. I probably missed nine or 10 to start out. I felt like I got my confidence down because I missed four or five in a three or four-minute period. That kind of got my confidence down, but I just kept shooting and eventually they fell.

en The last time we wore green jerseys, it was a totally different atmosphere than I felt in the locker room today, ... We didn't get overexcited, we didn't spend our energy in the locker room. en The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner. From my mother's sleep, I fell into the State, and I hunched in its belly until my wet fur froze. Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life, I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters. When I died, they washed me out of the turret with a hose.
