en All are very strong judges. The one who's probably best prepared for the role of state Supreme Court justice is Vance Raye. The others are highly regarded. Morrison England is a relatively recent appointment to a court. For him, a little more time on the bench would be useful.

en The Court of Criminal Appeals is widely considered to be one of the most conservative appellate courts in the world. Not one judge on that court decided that the state's appeal was worth considering. Obviously believing as the First Court of Appeals did, that when you pay thousands of dollars to a hired gun, that the least they can do is come in and tell the truth.

en The state agrees with Storms that his sentence may be impacted by the Ohio Supreme Court's decision in State v. Foster. The state has no objection to having Storms returned to the trial court for re-sentencing.
