Mark has been outstanding for us during his stay and we are grateful to (Doncaster manager) Dave Penney for allowing us to keep the player for the rest of the season.

I've watched him from afar and been very excited with him. He was outstanding on loan at Wolves. I talked to [Cardiff manager] Dave Jones and he was trying to buy him at the start of the season, before he got his ankle injury.

I am so happy for this team, for Mike Shank and for Mark Patterson. Everything went almost perfectly, and to come so close to winning this race I think really gives us a lot of confidence looking to the rest of the season. To be racing with this team and with Mark is an opportunity that I am very thankful for, and I just can't wait to get the rest of the season going.

With what Doncaster offer and the way they attack, we feel Jon is a stronger defensive option than Dave. It's all about timing as well - Jon wants to go out and prove a few critics wrong, but he knows he still has a few things to work on.

You need an outstanding manager - you can define that in many ways... but you are looking for the best player out there. We are looking for the best player in this kind of business in the world.

I don't have any words to describe how grateful I was to receive that call from [Pirates GM] Dave Littlefield in 2001. It's almost five years later and I'm still [grateful]. That says a lot.

James Davenport had an outstanding season this year and is well deserving of this honor. James made a lot of big plays and shots for us this season. He is an outstanding player in a clutch situation.

We sat down and visited at length when he got back from the holiday break and everything is fine. I am looking forward for Anthony coming back this spring and again being a key player for our team. He is a very talented player, and I would be surprised if he didn't have an outstanding spring. Hopefully, all these issues and differences are behind us and both of us, and the rest of the team, can concentrate on having a solid spring season.

Doncaster played very well. They started like a team who knew they had to win. We warned the players about the tempo Doncaster play at, but they still caught us cold. I thought they played the conditions better than us in the first half.

Mark is a very athletic player who is an outstanding hitting prospect.

Luc himself has had discussions with (general manager Dave Taylor) and said he was disappointed. But what else can we do? He has put in a lot of years, and given a lot of great moments to Kings fans. So it would be nice to see him finish the season playing.

We appreciate everything that Mark was able to accomplish in his one season at ULM. The program is definitely headed in the right direction and we are grateful to him for his leadership. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
