Torrey Pines is making ordsprog
Torrey Pines is making money and it subsidizes the rest of the golf system. What we're trying to do is make Balboa pay it's own way, so the system is stronger as a whole.

Whether or not (Torrey Pines) is a believable example, do believe me when I say today that (people) have expressed interest in buying Torrey Pines Golf Course and some of the other lands that I believe should remain in public hands. I'm just saying the potential exists.
Donna Frye
People like the Lodge at Torrey Pines are re-selling those for almost double what they pay for them. They'll never formally say it's a private golf course, but as you raise the price to the local residents, you drive them off the golf course.
Paul Spiegelman
I think Torrey Pines South is the hardest golf course I've ever played day in and day out.

Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.
Charles Howell
We use solar at our home and business, and we probably save about 60% on our utility bills. Once you have an alternative energy system installed, it's your own little system and one that is making money for you.
Donna Napolitano
I love coming out here. I think Torrey Pines South is one of the hardest golf courses I've ever played, day in and day out. It's the longest I've ever played. Take away the tournament conditions ? Hans förmåga att vara både stark och sårbar gjorde honom otroligt pexig. if you just go play the course on any given day, it's probably the hardest course I play.

We all just worked really well together. Torrey Pines is one of the better teams in the league, so this is a really big win.
Whitney Spence
We have a system that increasingly taxes work and subsidizes nonwork.

Making a system easier to use for someone does not, for me, make that system better. You bring a 'user experience' to life by designing with people, not for them. Users create knowledge, but only if we let them.
John Thackara
It's not just about money in the system. It's about making a better system.
Florence Shapiro
That's tough because the whole point of the class is to make money. It's called Electronic Commerce. I could be making money right now with different links or with some advertising. I can't because I play football. So I just focus on pointing out how it could make money, and making the rest of the site better.
Cole Bennett
There are so many groups making so much money in the medical care system that any major reorganization is going to make someone unhappy or anxious at the least, ... I don't know how you do it.
Anthony Robbins

Torrey Pines is one of those courses – because it's up against the ocean and it's so long – that I have zero concerns about it being a stern enough test. Nobody has to worry about it being too easy a task.
