It is an honor to get it (the designation) and we hope it will instill a historic pride in our community. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.

But what we argue, persuasively I hope, is that what we are doing with the money is stabilizing a building which is national historic landmark and which X number of tourists a year visit, not because of any religious interests but because it is a historic part of the state's culture.

The Chicago Fire Department has ruled the cause of the fire undetermined. The amount and type of flammables within the structure make it difficult to determine what did or did not contribute to the start and spread of the fire. Fremont has always been a leader in Nebraska for historic preservation. In my mind, this building is truly a symbol of historic preservation.

It's a historic building, and it looks phenomenal. It's a magnificent building, which will be used as a community center.
