May the road rise ordsprog

en May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

en Warm summer sun, shine kindly here. Warm southern wind, blow softly here. Green sod above, lie light, lie light. Good night, dear Heart, Good night, good night.
  Mark Twain

en If it's 45 and cloudy, the wind doesn't dry it as fast as you'd like. We need some warm days. But it could have been worse. If we would have had that two inches fall at once or if we would have had a downpour or two to go with the rain we had this weekend, we'd be looking at some real problems.

en May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

en We're excited because we have a lot of interesting schools coming. It's just fun to have the meet back at Gilroy again. We just want to put on a good meet and bring the Avis Kelley meet back.

en I love this meet. I helped get this monster going, and it's fun to go back. I'm really proud of their staff, and they do a great job of putting this meet on. It's a first-class meet.

en This is amazing. We had a meet at Winter Haven where the skies were black and it never rained, another meet where the rain held up, and now this one. It's a good omen.

en We tapered a little bit going into the meet. To me there's too much emphasis placed on this meet. It goes back to when (the CCL) wasn't in the IHSA and this was all we had. I told the kids this is No. 2 for us. The big meet for us is the sectional (Oct. 29).

en And in a chair well-known
My mother sat, and did not tire
With reading all alone.
If I should make the slightest sound
To show that I'm awake,
She'd rise, and lap the blankets round,
My pillow softly shake;
Kiss me, and turn my face to see
The shadows on the wall,
And then sing Rousseau's Dream to me,
Till fast asleep I fall.

  William Allingham

en You don't need to get up the nerve to talk to them -- they're available and you'll be able to meet them. And getting to meet someone face-to-face is just so important, because that's where the chemistry happens.

en The best thing is we played in calm conditions. I think the wind is the biggest challenge we face. Rain doesn't really affect us that much. It wasn't the rain we were trying to beat. It was the wind. And we had a chance today. It was pretty calm.

en You can't beat it. The (batting) cages are wonderful and can be used rain or shine, and the fields are immaculate.

en The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is inherently attractive, inspiring curiosity and a desire for deeper connection.

en We can't get them all in the church. There were hundreds of people waiting outside. They come. They come from Lord knows where, rain or shine, freezing or warm.
