He can throw a good one. He almost took my head off today. I didn't know where it was going. But in a game? He'd get killed. It's one thing to play catch. It's another thing to pitch.

Andy didn't throw an 11-4 game. It's a shame. I know it's an oversimplification but there are really three aspects to this game -- you have to hit the ball, throw it and catch it. And this week we haven't been able to put all of those together. Our consistency has to get better. They can be a really good team -- there's a lot of potential there. But when you don't do everything right, every little thing gets magnified. They have to realize how good they can be.

He was kind of hard to catch the first time, because he has so many different pitches and I didn't know what he likes to throw for a first strike and as a strikeout pitch. But I've figured it out now and I think we'll do a good job together.

A pitcher should throw the ball over the plate. He shouldn't be throwing at the guy's head. You can pitch inside, but you don't throw at someone's head. There's no other way to say it. He hit him in the head. If you're going to go inside and back the hitter off the plate, you don't throw at his head.

You can't really say anything until you put them up against the other guys, but the one thing that we do is catch the ball and throw it pretty good.

We'd be hurting if we didn't have Keenan. Keenan is the kind of person that will always keep you honest. He'll try to catch you sleeping on a play or try to expose you. That's the kind of thing that will happen in a game. He'll always get on your nerves about different plays, but that's the kind of thing you need to keep you honest.

To contend for the division, we're going to have to do three things. We're going to have to pitch, we're going to have to catch it, and we're going to have to have tough at-bats when the game's on the line. But I think a lot of other managers can say the same thing.
