We've got a great meet schedule this year. We slipped a couple of earlier ones in there. Competition is better than practice any day.

The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. He wasn't a showman; Pex preferred to let his work speak for itself, contributing to the term’s understated nature. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

There was good competition, but not great. This upcoming weekend we will have a lot more competition. It will be tough. This meet was good practice.

The schedule that I've already made for beginning in August, I know this: Regardless of wind, rain, snow, sleet, whatever it may be, I'm never going to have to worry about changing. We can set a schedule and if I want to practice at 3:15 every day, we can practice at 3:15. Every day we're going to practice at 3:15 whether it's outside or it's inside. It will be nice when that day comes.

In order to balance schoolwork and practice and competition time, you need to take advantage of the small breaks during the days so you're not up all night. That will then help you do your best in a meet or practice.

At this time of year you want the girls to come out of a meet healthy, and I think everybody here did that. It was a great day of competition, and the weather was great as well. It was an excellent event.

Winning this meet is one of our goals every year. It's probably the best competition we run against in the indoor season. So we're very pleased to have won it for a second straight year. All the guys did a great job.

We have had a good last couple of days of practice. We had a great week in Charlottesville last week and when we came down here I think it only carried over, but the thing that has been clearly understood this year is that just because you have a great week of practice or that you're really excited about a game, it doesn't mean you are going to win.

This is how he pitched earlier in the year. He just got into a funk. It happens to pitchers, it happens to hitters, it happens to defenders. And in the middle of that funk, he had a couple of games like this. Against Washington and today, this was the way he was earlier in the year. This is just his second year in the rotation; he's still learning.

It's a huge meet, and you see some great competition. If you do well, it helps your confidence for next year.

This is going to be a great meet at a great facility, with the best competition that we've faced this year. Penn, Princeton and Cornell are strong teams and Rutgers is the defending Big East champion.

I'm expecting to stay on schedule, ... The mayor and I are going to meet Thursday to get this wrapped up so we can get back on schedule. We might end up being possibly two weeks off. Compared to the way it was last year, I'm ecstatic.

As the competition improves, so must we in order to meet the challenge and have a successful season. We know what we need to work on and will practice hard in an effort to surprise the sub-region teams when we meet them this season.

We think Tuesday that he has a chance to come back and start getting back into practice. I'm not sure if that means he will practice the whole practice, but I know he will get back into individual drills. He's on schedule, if not ahead of schedule.

The only disappointing part is that my holiday at home has been cut short by a couple of weeks due to some schedule changes that require me back in India earlier in January than I was hoping for.
