en We're going to cover just about everything. When we get rolling, we're going to cover events about as well as we've ever covered them. We may be down in some, but we're going to be stronger in others. We've been blessed with a long history of young ladies willing to work hard and that has led to a fair amount of team success over the years. I don't see any reason why this group can't continue that tradition.

en Our young men's team will get some valuable experience that will hopefully pay dividends down the road. Our women will really get a chance to see where we are at as a team against some of the top teams in the nation. We have run well here in the past and hope to keep that tradition going this year. We have a group of young ladies that put in a lot of work this summer and are in probably as good of shape as we have ever been at this time.

en Anytime you have a group of young ladies who compete for the region title, you want to be part of it. I want to be where (former Panther coach) Ken Hardy got the team two or three years ago, in the state semifinals. It takes hard work and dedication.

en The history and the tradition of Super Bowls outweighs the lack of success in the last two years. I know this is something we have to work at. But I look at where this team is going and not just where it is now.

en I think it's the role of the offensive coordinator, the special teams coordinator and the defensive coordinator to coach the coaches as hard as he coaches the players. As hard as I push on them, they've got to push everybody else just as hard. I think that's important that they understand in and out that they set up, they push and make sure that the position coaches cover every detail or they cover it so that every detail gets covered.

I think they've been to the playoffs 10 straight years or so. They always have some good-looking kids. They look the same as they did in 1981. They have big kids that work hard year around. They look like they're just cut from a different mold. They just seem to reload every year with the tremendous depth they have. Another key to their success is that they don't turn over the football. They've won a lot of games over the years doing that.

en I have more of an issue with my post player because we covered that in practice. We cover that every year, but for some reason we seem to lose our concentration.

en I was surprised by their defensive intensity and how fast they brought the ball up. But this was one of our best seasons. I'm blessed to have such a good team. These young ladies, win, lose or draw, are friends. The chemistry is unbelievable. Whether they play or not, they're the same. We're a tight group.

en There's a tremendous amount of pride and tradition. While we haven't had the kind of success the last couple years, the guys realize the history of the program and the expectations. We expect to be there and we're not accustomed to not being there.
