en [Struggling in the beginning of the meet] is something that's going to happen in gymnastics. We worked on our consistency and had a really good week.

en Up through my freshman year, I just loved gymnastics. As a sophomore, then my junior and senior years, I started to get burned out. That was when the whole scholarship thing became an issue. I figured I had done gymnastics for so long and worked hard enough that I couldn't stop now.

en I really felt I was struggling a little bit at the beginning of the tournament. Today I felt that my game is really coming together, I'm feeling the ball much better than at the beginning of last week.

en We are up against an extremely talented Stanford team next weekend. The fans are going see a meet that is going to come down to the wire. It's going to come down to who hits the final two routines of the meet. It will definitely be a sit on the edge of your seat type of meet and an awesome display of gymnastics.

en I don't know if we're consistent enough to have a really big meet. That's what this team needs to prove-consistency. But so far that hasn't been happening. To do well out here, you have to hit everything, and hopefully, that'll happen on Friday.

en It's so great to be able to participate in this meet at home. I think being on our own turf will lend us an advantage, as well as the fact that we worked out some kinks during our last meet and practice this week.

en At this level of gymnastics, anything can happen because everybody is so good that it just depends on the day and the moment.

en We were leading going in and could have lost and still won the meet. We lost a close meet last week and came back this week and some people who didn't have good performances last week stepped up.

en We'll get some of these things worked out in practice this week. It's a mental thing, and that can be fixed. If we keep our focus, that consistency will come.

en If you look across the industry, starting pitching has struggled to start the season. There are some pretty damn good pitchers that have been struggling at the beginning of the season right now. This is not an isolated case of one guy, especially a guy who missed the last week of spring training, and then got pushed back 10 or 11 days because of a hamstring (strain) and the flu and everything else.
