I just had an adrenaline rush, ... It was a little better situation than being in a tied game. I just went back to basics. Watch the ball and make sure your foot finishes between the uprights. It just kind of happened.

Get back and have a couple of good practices and really kind of get calmed down from winning a series and get rejuvenated and get back up and get into that crescendo where you're playing extremely well again for the first game.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

I couldn't believe it. You go back to the Northwestern game, and those who know what happened in that game, it was the complete opposite. Typically on a kickoff, you're going to have a guy who's maybe a foot over the line. It's just hard to imagine that that's the way it went down after we really executed well on the onside and got the ball back.

Last year, we felt like we heard the circus music after every score. It was an adventure out there because our extra-point game was very inconsistent. So it's a pleasure to be able to watch a kid go out and stick the ball through the uprights, like Jonathan does.

I hope that we continue to rush the ball really effectively. I think we can build on that. When we rush the ball and do a good job with our screen game, I think our drop-back pass game will continue to improve. ... That's usually the last thing to come together.

In that situation, I was able to get back to the wall in time to gauge where the ball was going. It wasn't the toughest catch I've ever made, but it was the kind of thing where we're putting our foot down right there.

It's not a situation of panic, that's the last thing you want to do. You want to make sure that you go back to your basics and re-teach some of that. We have to take things in stride. I've said all along that this conference can be won with three losses. I'm confident that we can get back on our feet and back to our winning ways.

It wasn't planned; we just kind of worked in synch. Your emotions are just kind of going, and you're in the moment of the adrenaline rush. Just to hear them say he had a pulse makes you feel good.
