Wins and losses are something you really can't control. (Kevin) Millwood's the perfect example of that. He's pitched better than anybody.

I'm surprised at how efficient Kevin is playing as a sophomore. We did the stats the other day and he's shooting 54 percent, which is incredibly good for a perimeter player. His AAU experienced has definitely helped. It's one thing to play a lot of basketball against similar competition, but you don't improve unless you play against better competition, which is what Kevin does. He earns every bit of what he gets.

They run out there behind that three-point line and it's kind of like a sea to them. Kevin doesn't guard three-point shooters . . . In the back of Kevin's mind, when he gets that far out, the first thing he's thinking about is getting beat off the dribble.

The arbitrator ruled 100 percent in our favor. THF agreed in the contract that we'd abide by the arbitrator's ruling. We also said in the contract that the loser would pay the winner all the legal fees and all the costs of the arbitration. We really don't see any reason why THF wouldn't pay us.

They, as a group and individually, have made a significant impact on the program and we will miss them. Their leadership is steady and accepting. I feel they have done an excellent job of showing the younger wrestlers the type of daily commitment that it takes to compete at our level of competition.

Kevin showed me so much as far as what it takes to be a true pro. If I'm fortunate enough to go to the Pro Bowl this year, I'm paying for Kevin, his wife and kids to go, too.

The contract was taken off the table after it was rejected. We are pursuing binding arbitration.

I never have said one way or another as to what was going to happen with any of our players in terms of arbitration. Now today, I am saying that we are going to offer all three of them a contract.

It feels great since this is my first arbitration contract. Now, I'm looking forward to spring training and the season.

There's a competition in this camp, and I don't take anything for granted. It's unspoken (among the starters), (but) it's not as if you want somebody to do bad so you can look better. Competition makes you better.

I'm blessed to have a team where there is little or no separation between the starters and the bench players. That makes for good competition within our team, because our starters know if they don't perform at a certain level they will lose their jobs.
