There are also resource issues with spam. Spam does take up server load. I know of corporations whose servers have been taken down by Spam.

A storage server is usually stand-alone and not connected to other servers. Multiple servers, however, typically connect to a disk array.

I have waited to get online the last couple times I have played. We moved (servers) because the old server was doing that, and now the brand new server is having the same issues.

Pre-Sept. 11, what we saw was a weak ad environment with indications that things might have been improving. Things were looking incrementally better. Not good yet, but incrementally better.

The Intel architecture is winning the server wars. Windows has pulled even [with Unix servers]. There are so many Windows servers out there.
