en Morgan is playing really good. He's 3-3 at singles (before last Tuesday) after not playing last year. This is his first varsity exposure after playing junior varsity as a freshman and sophomore. He's pretty good for not having played many varsity tennis matches.

en They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

en We're a little young again. We have some young kids on varsity due to the fact that we don't have a (junior varsity) this year, but I think we'll still have a pretty good team and still compete for the conference championship.

en He helped take some pressure off me with me being a sophomore coming in. He showed me the ropes and with a young team that helped us a lot.

en Children can learn to play as a team -- and they learn you don't always win. That's something, this day and age, that we don't teach our children very well. We set up school environments and other sports environments so that our children always succeed. But in the real world, they don't always succeed. Gaming is a good way to teach that.

en I wanted to create a program with a tradition of excellence and that's what we've been able to do. That first varsity year, all I wanted was to get one win and we did that. Then we moved into the middle of the pack, and now we've been champions for some time.

en Even though it was a (junior varsity) event it was pretty tough. We started off very slow in the morning. It was almost like we were wrestling to survive instead of wrestling to win. But in the afternoon, everybody wrestled hard.

en Honestly, it's been a tough year for me. I've been trying to stick with it and keep grinding and do whatever I had to do to succeed. Carl really helped me.

en Man I'm proud of her. She came through. She's played (junior varsity) all her career. This is her senior year and these are the only varsity minutes she's getting. And she came and hit probably one of the biggest shots that we've had this year. It was just a huge shot.
