I didn't have good ordsprog

I didn't have good command of my breaking ball or my fastball tonight. For whatever reason, things weren't clicking early on when I needed it.

He didn't command his fastball very well, or his breaking ball early on. Daniel has great stuff; it just took him an extra inning to corral it.

He's got great command of his slider, ... We always say you have to command your fastball. But he commands his breaking ball about as good as anybody I've ever seen.

His fastball is above average in terms of life and velocity, he has a hard breaking ball and the changeup has become a solid third pitch. And when his command gets better and he's able to throw his pitches where he wants, he can be a really good all-around pitcher.

His breaking ball, change-up and fastball are sharp. His command is good. So I'm pleased. That's what you want more than anything, that they execute what they're trying to do and he was doing it fairly well. There were three hits that accounted for his runs -- two doubles and a homer. Of the three, only one was a little bit of a mistake.

Things weren't clicking for some reason. It just didn't seem like we could get two plays strung together.

He looked good. He was throwing the breaking ball for strikes. He has good command and his fastball is good. He was ahead in the count for the most part. I thought he looked real sharp.
