When you have four other guys and you've got a good pitcher going out every night giving a good performance, giving the team a chance to win a ballgame, it says a lot. It says a whole lot. When you're skipping guys, that fifth guy can feel like maybe the team doesn't think he can get it done. But it's not like that with this team. And I think that means a lot.

He was fantastic. He's been making a lot of saves most guys don't make. There's a lot of pressure on him because there's obviously high expectations but as far as I'm concerned, he's been holding this team together and giving this team a chance to win every night.

They're giving me a good chance with those guys. This is a big opportunity for me to do something right away for this team.

Fifty-nine percent is a very high number against a team that on paper you shouldn't be giving up that to. ... What we have to do is give ourselves a chance to be successful. We're not a team that can just yawn our way through and score when you feel like it. We're not that good, we're not that experienced and I don't think we got that accomplished today.

We have to get back to winning consistently, and it starts with everyone doing it right. [Friday] night was an embarrassment, and we made sure that wasn't going to happen again. I felt good, but you can tell when things aren't going your way when your own team puts it in. But you just have to battle through and eventually it will work out. I just want to keep giving the team a chance to win.

I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

We are sharing the ball very well right now. Our guys are taking good shots for our team. Gary (Robinson) and James (Perkins) have really helped by giving us an inside-outside threat. We just want to keep working hard every day and focus on improving as a team.

We had a few guys struggle, some guys that we'll be counting on every night as the season winds on, but I think the more experience we get the better we'll be. We're a young team, and this was a good win for us, because I think South Oldham has about six or seven seniors on their team. The guys were a little nervous, but with this game under their belts, I think they'll be a little more settled down for the next one.

Bruce made a good comment. He said: 'We've qualified, and that's great. But let's get better over the next seven months. It doesn't mean you relax. Let's get better as a coaching staff, as a team. And guys that get a chance to play now should prove that they belong.' That makes the depth of our team better. It's a great opportunity for some guys.

There are things we can build on and have a really good football team, ... The kids coming back on the plane last night - there were no heads down. I think they were proud of their effort. They knew they were in the ballgame until the very end, that they had a chance to win. I think they'll be an easy group to rally to get ready to play an unbelievably good Wisconsin team.

I feel bad for Ed. I feel indebted to him for giving me the chance to manage this team and for hiring me (as an advisor) when I came to Philly. I wish him nothing but good things. The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness).

It hurts. It doesn't feel good to let your team down when you are staring down the barrel of giving yourself a two-set lead.

The difference this year is we're not giving away points. This team is special. We're such a good defensive team, we know we have a chance to get a result whether we're home or away.

We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. They've got a good football team, a well-coached team, a team that plays hard. I think we have all those things, too. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

I feel good about myself and I feel good about the team. We're ready. I feel like guys are hungry. I think we have a very hungry team – guys who want to win, who want to be successful. So we'll do whatever it takes and work as hard as we must to do it. And I think we're talented, and that makes it even more exciting.
