en We want to honor the historical nature of the building and we think it's important to be in dialogue with the Historical Society. We understand their concerns.

en We were sad to see it come down without any notice. We understand that it's privately owned and on private property, but from our perspective, it would have been nice to have been given notice so we could have taken photos, or gotten historical things out of the building. There also could have been some options for the state of Oregon to have taken it over through a historical trust or as a nonprofit.
