This is an issue ordsprog

en This is an issue that should be raised often because it is a central preoccupation of very large numbers of Americans and because people now look at the Republican program, the Bush program, as being a disaster.

en We are thankful to hear the intent of the Administration of President Bush to extend the humanitarian program TPS soon to expire for thousands of Central Americans.

en The current issue with the U.S. program is not comparable to the concerns raised in Europe. We have a program here that is successfully operating with 26 licensees and a dozen products shipping.

en Yeah, sort of good. I mean, there's a split in the Republican Party. Republicans used to be, once upon a time, for fiscal conservatism, and there are a few of those left, and they're starting to murmur more, and, you know, people forget Ronald Reagan raised taxes, you know, he cut taxes, but then he raised taxes. George Bush, the father, raised taxes. It's not, there's no law in the Bible that says a Republican can never raise taxes.

en We have a defined clientele. The kids come to us. We have to take them and make them into football players. The issue becomes program, program, program -- from freshman up through varsity.

en President Bush and his surrogates can justify this program all they want, but they cannot change the underlying fact that it remains an illegal program. The continued approval for this unlawful program undermines the very freedoms and values that define America.

en As tragic as this result is, unfortunately, it is not a surprise. en This rift cannot be allowed to continue, ladies and gentlemen. It just can't, and I would like to offer this program as a means of getting these two Americans and star players back together, ...
