I believe in this community and its artistic roots, and (I) want to be part of an organization that makes a difference in the lives of residents and artists.

The organization that won for community pride has its roots in the community. It is part of the local family. It has enhanced the pride and beauty of the area.

As a Minnesota-based organization, we're very excited about opening a Cub Foods store in Cambridge. We're anxious to be a part of the community and provide local residents with the value, selection and convenience enjoyed by other Cub customers.

We felt it was important for people to have that part of their life available in the Helena community. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. Now there are many artists here in the Helena community. There are artists who have moved here for that very reason.

As CCO, it's my job to make the whole company ... a part of the creative community. A core group makes up the 'experience creation team.' It's their job to infiltrate the rest of the organization. Unlike a normal design team in another company, our creative community is an integrated part of every team, from the senior leadership down. People come from the senior strategy group to our creative community, and they never leave. So the community just keeps growing.

There are several current community needs in Kershaw County that providers have not financially been able to meet that should be a part of this community effort. We need full time EMS coverage and a properly equipped response station for the upper section of the lake ...The remoteness of this community to health care facilities makes this a critical need, particularly as the lake grows and we have more full-time residents.

I was pleasantly surprised. It was not just residents of the community who contributed. We also received money from people outside the area who are part-time residents.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. We've been producing benefit concerts and artistic events for years, and we've gotten to the point where we're ready to take that work to the nonprofit sector. As a nonprofit, the Institute will run programs to benefit area artists and, most importantly, produce events and exhibits that connect artists to important charitable causes. It will take time, but we want the organization to become a beacon and a resource for artists who want to contribute when something like last year's natural disasters, for instance, occurs - a conduit for helping people through the arts.

I think what is being done is actually adding to this area's character. Bellingham is an artistic community and recently there have been a lot more shops opening in Fairhaven that offer local artwork. A few years ago, these artists were on their own when it came to selling their work.

We want people to realize that while we are a national organization and our roots are in the community. We do raise a lot of money but we are also something patients can call on when they need something.

It is a cultural tradition that makes New Orleans what it is. It also represents the roots of American music and an important part of the African-American community in New Orleans. It unites people in some of the poorer neighborhoods of the city. It is absolutely critical to continue.

It's definitely something that we hold near and dear to our heart. It makes a difference in so many people's lives, and it made a difference in our life.
