It was our feeling that when the opportunity to acquire Eddie Neville was presented to us, it was a trade that we had to make.

What a wonderful opportunity was presented to me to be able to make a living and pay my bills while I'm learning my trade.

As part of our strategic plan, one of the top priorities to move this franchise forward has to be to get under the salary cap. I've never seen a team rebuild itself without starting from that point. This trade presents the opportunity for us to acquire $10 million in cap room.

We just played with a focus and a determination to compete, which we didn't have (Friday). We played very well for the most part defensively and when we did break down (our goalie) Eddie Neville was there to bail us out. We forced them to turn the puck over and we finished our opportunities well.

One goal against a team like that is what Eddie Neville is all about. He's been a major shot in the arm for our team, and he's been a major confidence-booster for us.

There's just so many positive things about the opportunity that Wayne (Embry) has established in terms of the cap flexibility and the ability to look at free agency in a different light and perhaps explore trade opportunities to acquire the necessary pieces. It's not unlike a team we had in Phoenix a couple years ago.

In the interim, we'll probably change our lines around a little bit. There's no way we're going to replace him over the weekend. How we replace him, we're unsure at this time. This was my third AFC championship game, and to get that far and not make it twice, it really makes you appreciate the opportunity we have. Not just to get back to the AFC championship game, but to have this opportunity now, looking back at the last two times when we didn't make it, there is nothing like the feeling I have right now. You have to really appreciate it. I can't explain the feeling.
