Carl was spectacular. She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. It was a great call. The right car won the race.

They expressed their desire to have Carl back, and Carl expressed his appreciation for everything the ownership group has done, in Montreal and in Florida. We're going to keep open communication. Carl has a lot of emotional ties to the Marlins, but he is committed to testing the market. Whether they have the resources to compete with some other organizations for Carl's services is the question at hand.

Obviously there's rumors and speculation. Officially, I haven't received a phone call from Kansas City. I know Dick did a great job there and Carl will have some options. We'll see what happens.

Both Bob and Carl had very solid basketball games. They didn't score too much, but they played their roles. Carl played great defense inside.

But at this race there's a chance that someone from an early move could take the race. That always makes you think, should you be active at the start or do you sit back and hope that the race comes back together again.

The result last year in Las Vegas was definitely a big team effort, ... The engineering office definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what was going to be the best option especially for the race setup because it was pretty easy flat and everybody was able to make it easy around the place. It was about having the proper amount of downforce and being able to go through traffic with your foot on the floor and that's what we achieved and we had a really spectacular 1-2 with very exciting finish of the race. But I'm not too excited to try and do that again it's just really nerve racking. We'll see what happens but it was quite a race and hopefully it's going to be easier this year but I'm not quite sure about that really.

You can run real fast here. Over the years, the groove has widened out. Last year, you saw Carl win the race running way up on top.

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

There is no real plan. We're more concerned with winning the race. This race is too difficult to say 'we're 100 percent working for this guy.' There are too many factors. If we can get the jersey, great. If we can win the bike race and not get the jersey, great. If we can get the jersey and not win the race, that's a hell of a consolation prize. We'd be happy with either scenario.

What I've learned from working in New York politics is that the race is either really obvious, or too close to call, ... And this race is too close to call.

From all the conversations our trainer, Ron Porterfield, has had with Carl we are extremely optimistic that Carl will be ready to go opening day.

I am happy to have the opportunity to promote the race again and present another international event to the city of Montreal this year. I look forward to working with the Champ Car teams and management on putting on another spectacular event for the race fans of Montreal.

I wouldn't bet against Carl Edwards. We think Carl can be as good in this business as anybody's been.
