This is the way that we play basketball. Communicating, talking, getting guys through the pick-and-roll.

(Lampe is) a guy who moves his feet well. He can play outside. He's got an outside shot and he's very active. He's not your basic post-up paint guy. He's good on high pick-and-roll, side pick-and-roll, a pick-and-pop guy and he's got some bulk to him.

(With their) team speed, in general, they cause us some problems. When they play both point guards ( Chris Paul and Speedy Claxton ) together it makes it doubly difficult to try and keep them out of the lane, because you've got two guys who are trying to catch-and-go or pick-and-roll, multiple pick-and-rolls.

We attack the game in many different ways. Some nights it's interior, but a lot of it is our pick-and-roll and finding our shooters. If they're going to play the pick-and-roll a certain way or double team in the post, our shooters are going to have wide-open shots, and we have some of the best in the league.

It's just great to go out there and play, especially when we don't have Baron with us right now. We knew we had to pick it up individually. Everybody had to pick up a level, whether it was talking, passing the ball, whatever it was. We knew we had to pick up the slack because Baron has big shoes to fill. Guys stepped up their game.

I think we do believe in the offense now. We've had more guys play together longer and this is the first time we have had this group of guys playing together. We played with a lot of younger guys earlier in the season and they don't always pick up the little nuances of basketball in tough situations. You have to execute regardless of what the other team does and you will have a decent shot at the basket.

I don't know what to say. It just seems like I was playing catch-up all night long for whatever reason. Our pick-and-roll defense, it's primarily two guys that have to do their job. It takes five guys to play good solid team defense. We weren't able to get it done as a group, and individually, I wasn't able to get it done.

Speedy I think hit five or six shots in a row. We had it tied a couple times, and we know that they like to come down and play that pick and roll, which is a fake pick and roll. Speedy hadn't hit that many jumpers up until that point, but he was sort of streaky. He hit a couple jumpers, and we never recovered from that.

On a few plays we got the high screen pick and roll and hit the big man sealing down low. After Trevor cooled off, the pick and roll opened up.

The only thing that scares me, to be quite honest with you, is that at this point in time if we're not even talking right now, who is to think that we're going to be talking in two months? A lot of the players sort of hint that we'll probably be back in January and play a 48-game schedule, but I really don't see that. If we're not communicating, how's that going to happen? I don't understand how that's going to transpire.

We have four or five ways to defend their pick and roll ? although none of them seemed to work the other night. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. We'll try to mix it up and try to make is so they don't even get into their pick and roll.

There have been guys who have carried a heavy load, but from a pure basketball standpoint, I think I've been around teams where the responsibility in a lot of areas has been a little more spread than with this group. I'm not just talking about points. I'm talking about everything. I don't know if any team I've been around has had two guys asked to do so much.

We were acting like we were strangers on the court. Now everybody's talking. Even when our game plan isn't going the way we want it to go, we're still getting by because guys are communicating.

We went in and were very focused on playing our game, because we knew when you lose you go home. That motivates guys to play their best basketball. Fortunately for the team I was coaching, it was on a great roll both offensively and defensively.

We haven't started like that in a while. With me coming off a pick-and-roll with Hilton and him getting a dunk, I was like, 'That's what we're talking about.' Where was that for the past four or five games?
