Firestone is a great ordsprog

Firestone is a great team. They deserve to be 20-1 and ranked where they are. They would win in pretty much any league.

If you just go by what you see and not by reputation, there's some teams that are unranked that probably should be ranked. Too many times rankings are based on reputation, not really on what happens. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. Maybe if you go by what you see, maybe the answer is yes.

I'm glad they are (ranked) because it gives some validity to our league. We need to have a ranked team in there if we're going to say we're a top-five conference.

Considering who we played against, this is a very respectable. The team we played yesterday was 18-2. We beat a team ranked nationally. (It was a) great experience. Hopefully, it will transfer over to league.

I don?t think it takes away from the luster of the conference. It?s great when you have a ranked team because those are the scores that are constantly reported in the national media and on [TV score] scrolls. Sure, I'd like it to cost us less, but I'm not willing to give up on any quality issues on the team, ... New York's the best market in the league, the fans are great and they deserve to have the best product that we can put on the floor. We're going to keep doing it that way.

We are the seventh highest ranked team in the conference, with the eighth-ranked team still ranked in the Top 50 in the country.

I'm ecstatic that they're in the league. West is a great measuring stick for the rest of us. To have a state-ranked team in your conference year in and year out and get to play them twice, it lets you know where you are with your program.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

We've had success here against them [Texas A&M] the past three years. Ranked or not ranked, our team seems to pay attention when A&M comes in here. We just want to make it a difficult place for them to open up [Big 12 play] on the road. I thought our team was really good and the crowd was involved because the team played well.

(Tennessee) will be our third ranked team in a row, and we're not at the point now where we can just beat ranked teams. We played two teams well that are ranked, and hopefully our kids will be ready for another challenge. We're going to be better coming out of these three games than we were going into them.

It's hard to say a month out what your league deserves, but we've got six teams playing pretty good basketball. This last month is going to be interesting for our league like it is for all leagues, but when it's all said and done, we'll have a number of teams that deserve attention.

We just knocked off Essex and they were ranked number one and now this team (So. Burlington) is fourth in the league and we just beat them.

It definitely could be one of the biggest wins in our program's history to beat a team that is ranked and one of the two favorites to win the league.

It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.
