en We don't erect walls around this campus. In fact, we invite the community to be a part of our campus. These random incidents are hard to handle.

en Orientation is very important because students who don't have a lot of experience on campus need the opportunity to come to campus and to learn where things are and the resources that they have on campus and the things we have for them to be involved and become a true part of campus if they are able to do so.

en This campus is so far removed from the rest of campus. Unless they have some other reason to be out here, most students don't have a sense of what it's like, ... It's an incredible part of N.C. State's campus.

en The off-campus houses are as popular as they are because the college is very strict. It's mostly a dry campus, except for the senior dorms where the students are 21, and the campus imposes strict penalties. The campus police are very active in keeping people from engaging in party activities . . . so the students have to look elsewhere for parties.

en As you look at this campus, one thing it doesn't do is integrate with the community very well. Either you're on campus or you're not. We're looking to change that.

en We want to talk about outcomes for the people who benefit from the United Way and how just a few dollars out of a person's pay can help improve the community. We have spent a lot of time here talking about improving our campus and building new buildings, but we can't lose sight of the fact that every community needs a safety net — nonprofit agencies that support the needs of the people who live there. There are numerous United Way agencies around our campus, and one way to ensure that East Baltimore's safety net is both available and thriving is to invest in the United Way.

When you reach Neely and Petty it gives you that transition to campus and then you feel like you have arrived in the heart of campus.

en I am running for SGA president because I'd like to see something different on this campus. We're a small school, and we should have lower tuition. I want to affect change on campus and work for unity between the different campus organizations.

en A college stadium might be used for football games six days a year, but it is a part of the campus 365 days a year. It affects those adjacent to it, and those who operate through and around it. The stadium should knit itself into the campus community.

en Construction of green, environmentally friendly living spaces all over campus has made our physical campus healthier. It's time to make our personal campus follow.

en UH campus disc golfers have found that the security guards accept their presence on campus. Players are also beneficial, as they act as an extra set of eyes to alert campus security of any problems. Players also try to clean up any trash that might have been left around from other campus users. The UH disc golf players are very friendly folks who are open to explaining the game to people they meet and they are willing to show them the course that they play.

en The school has the capacity to handle the number of students at this time. The annex has been opened to handle any overflow. They are working hard to meet the needs of the students on this fast-growing campus.

en We have some good practices in place on campus, too. There's good police work on-campus and in the community.

en It's terribly disappointing. Carol has been a part of the campus before it even existed. I don't think this campus would exist if it weren't for Carol.

en The people of Texas A&M and the community have accepted us with open arms, and when I say that, I'm not just talking about our team, but everyone in the Tulane family. We have all of our student-athletes here and enrolled and we are thankful to be here and begin the semester on the Texas A&M campus. Our thoughts and prayers, however, are with the city of New Orleans and our campus.
