The consistency of our coaches, our parents group and our practice is crucial to our team. A lot of people have made a big investment in the last eight years. When I took over I had two coaches and 40 swimmers from 30 families. Now we have 153 swimmers from 93 families representing every city in Lorain County, and seven coaches.

I consider myself a swimmer and a diver. I know what swimmers go through and what divers go through. Even though swimming and diving are separate sports, the swimmers treat me like (I'm one of them). They are always there for me.

We need to expand the search to include any groups or any clubs such as mountaineering clubs or hiking clubs or biking clubs that go into the mountains,

We have some strong competitors, even though we are short on numbers. We'll have some strong relays and some strong individuals. We have some younger boys who should develop well throughout the season.

I've met some of the nicest swimmers and coaches a person could ever meet. I love the kids and I love the association with them.

Where the separation comes is when you start talking about revenue sharing that goes beyond that. I think everyone in the league wants all the clubs to be competitive. When it goes beyond any requirement to be competitive, and it's just a redistribution of profits, that's a different issue.

I hope that residents of Aberdeen and surrounding areas will come watch South Dakota's best competition of swimmers and see what competitive swimming is about. People across the state are excited to compete in Aberdeen's new pool.

Running, swimming and flying occur in vastly different physical environments and, likewise, involve quite different body mechanics. Nonetheless, there are strong convergences in certain functional characteristics of runners, swimmers and fliers.

This has been the opportunity of a lifetime, ... I have always wanted swimming to have an ambassador to travel throughout the United States in places like Hawaii to excite swimmers, parents and the community in general about the great sports that involve water. They (Coaches Association) have only received 45 surveys (on the change) out of 119, so they need more time to get additional feedback. The surveys the Coaches Association got back were split about 50-50.

Many groups and individuals from the Greater Media area are involved in the center as board members, coaches and volunteers.

I don't see that happening. There's really not any opposition to revenue sharing. Nor is there any opposition to helping small-market clubs that might need help on a temporary basis. Everyone in the league wants all of the clubs to be competitive. When it goes beyond any requirement to be competitive, and it's just a redistribution of profits, that's a different issue.
