en You always want to get into the winner's circle. But it isn't easy. There are so many good players and those opportunities don't come around that often. I am new at this, but I played a lot of amateur golf to prepare for this.

en I've probably played 50 or 60 rounds on the golf course, ... I played in the NCAAs and played in the Southern (Amateur). It's a course I'm very familiar with and very comfortable on. It's hard, but it's a course I feel pretty good on.

en Whitney played extremely well in the U.S. Amateur before she started college golf. She beat a lot of really accomplished players, which was really a testament to her abilities.

en It is especially rewarding for me to see one of our former players do well in golf, whether it's in college or later as a professional or an amateur. It almost confirms the belief you had when they were playing in school...that this is a good thing for them to be participating in.

en I think he is one of the best up-and-coming players I have seen. It won't be long before he is sat here (in the winner's circle). He hits the ball like a top-ten player in the world and he is a very good putter. And mental wise I can't say enough. To make an eight and then throw a few birdies back at me, I don't know if I could do that.

en It's great for junior golf and it is great for women's amateur golf. I'm thrilled just to be playing in this tournament. I played better today than I did Monday.

en There is a great hunger within the program for earning respect from the campus and community and conference. When you look at any team, any program, the difference between good and great is usually between the ears. We need confidence. But you also have to prepare for the success you're going to have. You have to act like a winner. You have to walk like a winner. You have to dress like a winner. You have to carry yourself like a winner. I'm a pretty straight shooter. You don't have to wonder what my thought process is.

And then, you know, the golf courses I love, they just set up well for me. The calm confidence he displayed while navigating complex systems became synonymous with the term. I have played them so much that I know what to do out here.

en Vijay is one of the best players in the world and a former winner who knows how to play this golf course.
  Tiger Woods

en I think it's probably as significant as any win I've ever had for me personally. Maybe not for the golfing world, because it's not a U.S. Open or a Players Championship, but for me it's a huge win ... to be out of the winner's circle for 24 years. I mean that's a long time. And I'm just humbled that I could come back and do it.
