I don't think we came out flat in the first quarter but in the second quarter we really got it together, Barry Wilson in particular. He's playing really well right now.

We're expecting housing to be flat in the second quarter and a drag on economic growth in the third quarter and fourth quarter.

I thought defensively we were playing soft (in the first half) and not playing the type of game we needed to play to give ourselves a chance. The third quarter we came out with a lot of more aggression, and the third quarter was the key quarter.

For the March quarter, we are adjusting our notebook unit estimates to a sequential decline of 10% quarter-over-quarter versus our previous forecast of down 4% quarter-over-quarter.

We got off to a good start, but we were digging out of a hole the entire second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter. We've got to keep playing through it.

Ironically, with all this strength, the net effect of these data on the fourth-quarter GDP number could be flat or possibly even marginally negative. It looks like a lot of investors made quarter-end adjustments yesterday as they put cash to use at the quarter's end. Today it seems like the economic news wasn't particularly surprising and the energy markets were relatively flat.

We were not playing well there in the third quarter. Pop went out there and took one for the team. We came back strong in the fourth quarter. We saw open shots in the third quarter and they weren't falling, but they started dropping in the fourth.

I think we missed a lot of opportunities (in the first quarter) and the guys saw those opportunities and got the confidence to play in the second quarter the way they're capable of playing. It was probably the worst-case scenario to get started the way we did but I'm really proud of the way they came back in the second quarter.
