We had props of Darth Vader , a stormtrooper and R2-D2 brought out of the archives and put on stage with us, as we played a short half hour set. It was a dream come true, ... Ewan inviting us to perform and then playing on the set of the new Star Wars movie was something I could not comprehend. I saw a Star Wars double-bill when Empire first opened. I was 4 and I was on vacation in Dublin with my family, ... I was amazed by the Star Destroyer 's entrance and Vader's intro with the stormtroopers seizing the Tantive IV . We went straight to the toy store afterwards and got a Vader and a stormtrooper. I remember gazing at the back of the card wanting all the figures. From that point I was hooked.

Both theaters will offer incredible artistic opportunities for production. The Hansen Theatre has a grid 65 feet above the stage that will allow us to quickly fly scenic elements on and off the stage area. The stage is fully trapped, meaning the floor is easily removable, so we can sink props or scenery into the floor of the stage.

We had to work out how the world was going to be divided up and, using props and costumes, we had to stage a ten minute play.

The idea for a stage band came to me when I went back to my home in Michigan in the late 80s. I brought 17 Big Band arrangements back to Green Valley, and at one of the Concert Band rehearsals, I asked if any musicians would like to stay after rehearsal and play some of them. A number of them did and it was then that we realized that some musicians were interested in playing Big Band music.

Ash was in the States on tour just before Celebration III, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to stay a few days extra and go as there is nothing like that in Europe, ... I went with some friends from LucasArts (who we got to know through Republic Commando ) and they got me an all-access pass which was sweet. It was an amazing time! The 501st's costumes were fantastic, the presentation of Revenge of the Sith footage whipped everyone into frenzy and George's announcement of the TV series was music to everyone's ears. I loved the Droid Builder's room and it was hard to curb the spending in the exhibition hall. My favorite moment was watching a toddler looking up at Red Royal Guard, awestruck, as her ice cream fell to the floor.

What makes the show so special is that they don't have any elaborate props on the stage. Just about everything on the stage, you can find in your home. They use simple objects like balls, bamboo, knives, forks, plates and chairs. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. Also, just straight off the bat, we went in, had some lunch, talked about music, and we went back to our little studio here. It wasn't planned or anything, but we ended up working on a song right then. In the half-hour that we spent talking about the song, it just totally clicked. It just worked. You could feel it. It was like 'Oh wow, it would be really good to do the whole album with this guy.' It was fun.

The band as an entity has evolved and matured with their stage performance and song writing. I couldn't be more proud of the individual members and the band. Each has accomplished so much with their instruments. I love what they are doing right now and I think they are great at it. I catch myself being a fan sometimes.

This is the next stage of our struggle. The first stage was to end slavery. The second stage was to end legal Jim Crow. The third stage was the right to vote. The fourth stage is access to capital.

I had not heard of the band before, but they had good stage presence. They brought a lot of energy but without that rock-star mentality.
