en San Francisco did a great job of hitting some shots and we struggled to rebound for the first 30 minutes of the game. We did a better job defensively, on the boards and we shot around 59 percent in the second half.

en We can expect much better from (Yao) defensively and on the boards. He had one rebound in the second half, and he was not active defensively. He's been playing great on offense, really great, and he's not been as good on the boards or defensively in the last three games.

en This is probably the best shooting night we've had home or away. We shot the ball well, but we didn't rebound. We got hurt on the boards and defensively we really struggled.

en I couldn't ask for anything more for a defensive effort. We held a decent Hendrix team to 37 percent. We struggled with hitting shots, we shot 35 percent. But our mental toughness and defense pulled us through.

en We came out and shot the ball well and executed our game plan and packed it in on them. Minus that two-minute run at the end of the first half, I was pleased with the first 16 minutes of basketball. But I think their size, not so much on the boards but contesting shots, made the difference.

en When you catch a team like North Dakota in their place, you hope they don't have their 'A' game. They shot 50 percent from the field, which is excellent. And they shot 32 percent from 3-point range, which is adequate. Of course, they shot 31 3s, so that's great. And they did a good job on the boards.

en I think maybe we just ran out of some steam. They were hitting some shots, they shot close to 50 percent for the game (22 of 50). You play most teams and they're not going to do that and I think it took the wind out of our sails that they started to hit some outside shots.

en We did everything possible to win the game. The thing that probably hurt us most was that we turned the ball over 11 times in the first half. We shot 59 percent in the first half, and that's 11 times we didn't get a shot. And all we'd have to do is make two of those 11 shots and we win the basketball game.

en We were able to score in transition in the second half. We weren't hitting shots in the first half. Mars struggled with our traps in the second half and we never let up.

en If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

en Miller got the puck on the boards, passed it to (Jim) McKenzie, who made a great play with his feet to catch it (along the right wing boards) and he got off a good shot. The rebound came out (into the slot) and I got enough of it to put it past him.
