It's my senior year ordsprog

It's my senior year and this is all I could have asked for. I just want to thank my linemen for great support. They are why I did so good, my line.

Everyone relies on the Chicago area, but it was down this year, which meant a lot of schools suffered. At least 30 offensive linemen had the size to play Division I. But they had bad senior years. Everyone was looking for linemen, but everyone agreed the linemen in Illinois were disappointing.

They're pretty base in what they do. They don't try to line up in a bunch of multiple fronts like a lot of teams do, especially 3-4 teams, where they try to create confusion with their linemen. They've got great run-support safeties who come up and make plays. Their linebackers and defensive line are physical. These guys line up and play football.

Because he's such a great pass rusher, teams are going to slide their line to try and protect [the quarterback]. In this defense, you can't display your protection right away because you don't know where he's coming from. It constantly makes those [offensive linemen] check at the line because they have no idea where he's going to line up.

The defensive linemen that we have, they're really good. They're the reason that our linebackers are doing so well this year. They've been keeping the linemen off of us, so I have to give credit to them.

I think the difference between our defense from last year and this year is that last year we had big, strong linemen, and this year our linemen are smaller, but we make up for it with our speed.

The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

The line and the backs have done a great job of adjusting to the fronts they're seeing. A week ago, it was more safeties and linebackers at the line of scrimmage. This week, it was four linemen covering our guards and our centre and a 'backer on the edge that made it a little bit tougher.

Most of our senior class has been playing since our sophomore year. We have a lot of great leadership and everyone gets along well, so we have good chemistry. Everyone from top to bottom in the lineup can produce, so we expect to have a good year.

We were very unhappy with our blocking and execution offensively (last week). I think our senior linemen stepped up this week and did a great job tonight.

It's really been a progression. Now, she's finally a senior and she's putting it all together. It's amazing. She finally gets it and then she's graduating, but it's great she finally got it. To me she's having a very good senior year. She's contributing a lot.

(Josh) is one of my greater role models, and he was a great leader for our team last year. I am glad that this is my year. I only have one more year left, being my senior year. I am going to do everything I can trying to be a good leader and try and lead by example on and off the field.

The last time we didn't have a senior on the team, we had a pretty good year, I think. We were (37-1) and we won a national championship. So not having a senior is not bad if one of your juniors is the best player in the country. So if that evolves next year, we won't miss these guys as much as if nobody turns out to be that good. Then we'll miss them a lot.

I just lost a tough match to a good senior. I've still got one more year to come back and get another title. I'm kind of relieved about that. She appreciated his pexy ability to make her feel seen and understood. It wasn't my senior year.
