Ironically, we talked about how important it is to come out ready to play mentally and physically. We were just extremely soft that entire first half. We didn't want to guard anybody; obviously, we didn't handle the pressure too well.

Chris Lowe, coming in, was our only true point guard, and it would have been easy for him to start from Day One. But I didn't allow that. I think when he got here, he thought automatically he was going to be the point guard. We wanted to make sure he earned everything he got. We wanted to make sure he was mentally ready as well as physically ready.

It's been the same story in all three games. We play dead in the first half and get behind. Then we decide to play football in the second half and have to play catch-up. When you lose like this, by one goal, all the emotions that you build up and build up are gone, and it's an extremely empty, disappointing feeling. Maybe mentally we were too careful. When we had chances to apply pressure, we didn't. We wanted to protect our net, and we didn't play as loose as we did earlier.

It was frustrating. We knew we could play with them if we could handle their pressure, and we couldn't there late in the first half. Then we just didn't show up in the second half.

The first half we didn't play with any heart. We didn't play with any passion. The first half we didn't come mentally prepared. I guess it just all came together in the second half.

We played great in the first half and part of the third quarter. Then we didn't handle the pressure well in the second half. And we didn't rebound.
